Calgary Stampede 2018 – July 6 – 15

SALUG was once again asked to come and display at the Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth. They requested us to display for the last three days of the Show. We were set up in the Western Showcase, in with all the artist across from the stage. We had 6 members participate in the display, and 4 of us were able to keep watch over the builds. It was decided to build an old west boardwalk scene or town. Each day the layout changed as the space allowed us to, many people commented on distinctive design features that were all custom built. We had several buildings including: Churches, a Saloon, Sheriff’s Office, Bank, General Store, Town hall, School, Many Houses, Courthouse, Blacksmiths Shop and a green space with a garden and clothesline hanging out to dry. Lots of great details were in the display for the public spectators. This years show saw over 1.2 million people come through the gates to take in the Exhibition.
